One of our customers has a series one Land-rover with a Holden engine in it, as he wants to bring his Land-rover back to original condition, he has sourced two series 1 Land-rover engines. If they are good we will remove the Holden engine and fit one of the Land-rover engines.
Is it the earlier 1600cc or the 2-litre ?
I eventually will have to get started on restoration of my ’49 Series 1. Engine (1600cc) is a runner, chassis is excellent, though being galvanized from original helped. I believe only a few were galvanized around that era.

Hi Philip, Looks like it is a 1600cc but the old man(Jeff) is checking it out as there were not many changes between the 1600cc and the 2 litre.
